I was on Blogthings tonight and took this little personality test, and when I got the results I realized it was a condensed version of my favorite personality test!
I took the full, long version of this test quite a few years ago - the Myers-Briggs Personality Profile. It's a really neat, and typically very accurate personality profile, if you can find the full version I highly suggest taking it. (There are several online, but for an accurate set of questions you might want to check the library.) I took it almost 10 years ago, and the results are the same! I don't know if that's good or bad! I suppose your personality stays with you, even if you grow into a mature adult. (Not that I am one!) ;)
Here's what the four letters mean:
1st Letter: E or I - Extrovert or Introvert (pretty self explanatory)
2nd Letter: S or N - Sensing or Intuition (do you deal well with facts (S) or ideas (N)?)
3rd Letter: T or F - Thinking or Feeling (do you make decisions based on logic or emotions?)
4rd Letter: J or P - Judging or Perception (do you prefer your life organized (J) or easy going (P)?)
Possibilities:

Those statements are very, very basic breakdowns. If you're interested in details, check out this link: http://www.teamtechnology.co.uk/tt/t-articl/mb-simpl.htm
Looking back through the years, it's kind of strange to look at the men I've dated and people I've been close to, based on this personality profile. So many of them are so opposite from me, if not the EXACT opposite. The one exception I think is my friend Ryan - we are so alike it's kind of scary. ;) One of my friends that is very familiar with this particular test agrees with the results I've gotten several times - ESFP it is I guess!
Here's a more detailed link on ESFP's: http://www.personalitypage.com/ESFP.html
Some famous ESFP's: Paul McCartney, Bob Hope, Barbra Streisand, Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Tigger. (Okay that last entry kind of scares me... several guy friends used to call me Tigger and I fought them on it all the time!)
You Are An ESFP |
The Performer You are a natural performer and happiest when you're entertaining others. A great friend, you are generous, fun-loving and optimistic. You love to laugh - and you like almost all people equally. You accept life as it is, and you do your best to make each day fantastic. You would make a good actor, designer, or counselor. |
